Will I get a massage at physical therapy?
There are many different manual techniques used by the physical therapists.
Massage may be part of your treatment.
What to expect from first visit?
Please come 15 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to fill out necessary paperwork
Evaluation will be completed by the specialist ( Patient history, current problems, special tests and measurements, PT goals)
How should I dress?
Wear comfortable, loose fitting clothes for the evaluation and/or treatment sessions.
How long is the session?
The treatment session time varies from 30-60 min per visit.
Is physical therapy painful?
Most of the time physical therapy is not painful, but in some cases for example when gaining ROM of knee following TKR (total knee replacement) may be painful.
